Splitwork ("we," "us," or "the app") is a running-training application that builds adaptive weekly training plans for individual runners. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what is needed to generate and adapt your training plan, and we do not sell your personal data.
Because Splitwork works with data about your body and activity, we also maintain a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy that governs health-related data specifically. For health data, that policy controls where it differs from this one.
Splitwork is operated by Splitwork LLC, a Kansas limited liability company, in the United States. For any privacy question or request, contact us at the email listed at the bottom of this page.
We share data with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, only to provide their service to us and under contracts that limit them to that purpose. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
You can optionally connect a third-party account to import your activities automatically. Connecting is always your choice, initiated by you from within the app, and you decide what to connect. We request only the activity data needed to calculate your fitness and build your plan.
Connecting your Garmin account is optional and requires your explicit, one-time consent through Garmin's own authorization screen, where you control which data types you share. You can revoke that consent at any time — both from within Splitwork (see "Your choices" below) and from your Garmin Connect account settings. Garmin's own handling of your data is governed by the Garmin Connect Privacy Policy.
Splitwork may ask for your device's location to show weather-adjusted training paces (how much to ease your pace for today's heat and humidity). If you allow it, your approximate coordinates are sent only to our weather provider, Open-Meteo, to retrieve current local conditions. Your location is never stored on Splitwork's servers and is not used for any other purpose. You can decline this permission and the rest of the app works normally. Separately, GPS route data from your runs is never sent to or stored by Splitwork.
We do not use your activity or health data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
Your data is stored in a secured cloud database (Supabase) protected by row-level security, so your records are accessible only to your authenticated account. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
We keep your account and training data for as long as your account is active, so the app can track your long-term fitness trends. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see below), after which it is removed from our active database.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within 45 days. You will not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
Splitwork does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and to remember app preferences and sync state on your device (for example, your consent choices and when your data last synced). This information stays in your browser; clearing your browser data removes it.
Splitwork is intended only for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
